Email Accounts

BCI provides up to 5 email accounts of size 2MB for residential customers and up to 25 email accounts of size 4MB for commercial. For additional email accounts please contact BCI.

Personal webspace

BCI provides residential subscribers 10MB of web server space for their own personal web pages,  20MB is available for business or commercial subscribers. Once web pages are uploaded to BCI's server, there are viewable from anywhere in the world. BCI customers can request for a link to be created form BCI's main page to their business or personal pages. BCI can also support custom domain names

Technical support

BCI is a local ISP with trained, ready-to-help technical personnel. We believe our cable system is stable and very reliable. If for any reason your internet service is interrupted  we will do our best get you back online as soon us possible. BCI web page also contains and delivers some online help.

News Group

BCI offers access to your favorite newsgroups on the web. A great way to interact with the online world!

*Bardstown Cable TV network is still evaluating its cable plant in county areas and does not yet support an upstream connection via cable. Therefore, a phone line is used for the upstream connection, but fast cable network connections are available today via existing downstream plant. 

 **Using the high-bandwidth fiber optic and coax Cable TV network in Bardstown, Internet connection speeds are optimized and made more reliable. The upstream data transfer speed is up to 128Kbps and downstream significantly faster than a dial-up modem. With any network downstream speed will vary. This is due to various factors including general network traffic, your computer performance, characteristics of the data network card, location of accessed computer, number of active users, and users abiding by BCI's use policy. Also, usually only noticed when uploading larger files or emails with large attachments, the users outside the city limits (one-way plant) will have a slower upstream performance.
