What to look for first!

Can you visit any webpages?

If the answer is yes, then please move onto the next questions. However, if the answer is no, the first thing you should do if experiencing any problem is to reset the cable modem, the computer, and any routers or switches you may have. First TURN OFF your computer and/or any routers or switches, and then unplug the power cord to the cable modem. Let the cable modem sit unplugged for 5-10 seconds and then plug it back in. Wait till you see 4 green lights then turn your router/switch/computer on.

If you are receiving a "Page cannot be displayed" error please disable any firewalls and/or anti-virus software. Often, these software can get confused and temporarily lock your internet to prevent damage. After they are disabled, try going to a website again. If this not resolve the issue, please visit our contact section to speak with an Internet Technician.

If you are receiving a "Cannot find Server" error, please double check your cable modem connections. If all those appear to be correct then double check your network settings. For more information on what these settings should be, please visit our self install sections. Click here to go there now!

Also in addition to checking your connections, please notice which lights are lit up on your cable modem. You should have 4 green lights and a flashing orange PC activity light. If you do not see these lights then please visit our Cable Modem help page. Click here to go there now

If you have a router installed. Please disconnect it and connect a computer directly to the cable modem then try to get online. If this resolves your problem then you have an issue with your router. Currently we do not provide any technical support for routers. You will have to contact the manufacteurer of the router or visit our router help page for basic troubleshooting tips.

If everytime you open your web browser, it prompts you to "dial out" then please go to:

Start Menu > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections (or Internet Options > Internet Options > Click on the "Connections" tab > and make sure "Never dial a Connection" is selected.

Then close out of your web browser and check it again.

If none of these resolves your issue please visit our "Contact" section to speak with an Internet Technician.
